I've always been fascinated with cooking. My first dish was peach Jello and I embellished it with coloured sprinkles. The colours seeped and mixed into the Jello so it appeared that a creeping slime mould had taken over the dish. No one ate it. It was no big deal to me since I didn't like peach Jello but it opened my eyes to the possibility of experimenting and how things could go very wrong or very right.
